Transplant Photo

An entire organ that is transported from its natural location and placed in a new location, either within the same person or in a different person. Both terms suggest that success will lead to a graft or transplant that is strong and flourishing and receives nutrients from its new environment.

One of the most difficult and complicated fields of modern medicine is transplantation medicine. One of the most important areas for medical care is the issue of organ rejection, which occurs when the recipient's body mounts an immune response to the transplanted organ and may result in transplant failure and the requirement to remove the organ from the recipient right away.
